The Space Needle is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
Seattle is full of surprises. There are towering offices, huge stadiums, and giant shopping centers. But there are also parks, walking trails, and a Ferris wheel. But the most prominent building is the Space Needle. Standing 605 feet above the ground, the Needle offers a panoramic view for about 1.3 million people a year.
Why you should visit
The Space Needle offers a stunning 360° view of Seattle. There are all sorts of things in the Space Needle to do, like TipTop Pies, the gift shop, and a couple adult-only bars. You can sit on glass benches, take great pictures, and get drinks. There is also something called the Oculus Selfie lets you get a picture with the city under your feet, thanks to the glass floors.
The View
As I’ve mentioned, the Space Needle has incredible views, from the windows, but also the FLOOR. that’s right, certain parts of the Space Needle have glass floors. So, I recommend not going to the very top if you’re afraid of heights. The Space Needle along with just glass floors, also has a REVOLVING glass floor, called the Loupe. From the top you can see Lake Union, the Olympic Sculpture Park, and the nearby museums, like the Seattle Children’s Museum and the Museum of Pop Culture, also known as MOPOP.
